What does a quote from the Scottish Clan of the 5th Doogals tell us about the current political client.
The original quote 'Out with the old and in with the new' originated from a Scottish clan known as the 5th Doogals, now known as the Douglas clan. The saying was first coined by Lee Douglas IV its meaning; out with the old (referred to his mother who was a lady of the night) and in with the new (his mistress).
Lee Douglas IV was jealous that his mother was sleeping around with the arch bishop of Spain David of Fenhamia. So he brought in his mistress a lady boy of Bangkok.
Over the last few decades the entire populace of the planet has been physiologically shaped into expecting change. Major events from political and economic unrest, global weather changes and wars have been used to heighten our expectation for monumental shifts to our world.
From the millions waiting for the newly elected president 'Obama,' to the thousands most recently standing outside the Vatican waiting for the selection of a new pope. The first supposedly selected by the people; the last supposedly elected by the divine.
The mainstream news as usual has had deep philosophical debates on the potential change coming. If Obama was 'black' was the new pope going to be 'black' too! No doubt this would satisfy the hunger in the hearts of the masses and would be the new era in history everybody craved.
It amazes me how the desire for change can get people looking in the most peculiar places for signs and wonders. Any small thing which could point to making this the moment they could say we were there!
From the lightning strike on the Vatican days before-to the black or white smoke arising to inform us a decision had or had not been made by the conclave. Mass expectation leads to mass emotion which inevitably leads to mass delusion.
We should step back and ask the important questions? Has there been much change since Obama became president? Has there been much change within European politics? Has there been much change within the banking world? When the system around the man continues and all we see are politicians and businessmen playing musical chairs in the boardroom, how can we continue to look for change from people who are part of the status quo?
When the euphoria stops the same people are there, saying the same things just sitting in different seats.
I am not the first to raise this question and will not be the last. Waking up out of lethargy, waking up out of depending on others who support the status quo takes a deliberate effort to swim against the tide of the norm.
Let me state I do not believe in change for change sake and I refuse to be presented with somebody else's ideological ideas of change that clearly aren't change at all.
Franklin D Roosevelt stated 'Presidents are selected not elected.' Roosevelt recognized that the popular press determined who would be the candidates, not the party's delegates and not the voters. For the most part, this same press would work to select the winner. Opinion polls only serve to give those really in charge of appointing authorities ideas on how to present the idea that we-the public are getting what we asked for.
Our Lord stated: Matthew 15:8 '‘These people draw near to Me with their mouth, And honor Me with their lips, But their heart is far from Me'
In a climate whereby authorities of both secular and religious are failing to be the message, they are declaring our drive to seek change from the system, but the world only serves to highlight our own folly and vanity.
When I discovered the origins of the quote 'Out with the old and in with the new' I had to ask what was the difference between Lee Douglas IV mother and the mistress he replaced her with? What was really new? Our Lord stated: Matthew 9:17 'Nor do they put new wine into old wineskins, or else the wineskins break, the wine is spilled, and the wineskins are ruined. But they put new wine into new wineskins, and both are preserved.”
If we are going to preserve what is most important to us in this time we must learn to ask the most important questions which lead to real and lasting change.
For King and for country...
