Redundant Families

In Europe first and now in America, elected men have taken it upon themselves to indebt their people to create an atmosphere of dependency. And why? For their own selfish need to increase their own personal power. Thomas Sowell.

Redundant families will continue to multiply under an atmosphere of dependency created by government. This article will elucidate the family unit and its diminishing role in society and the co-dependency that exists between government and families. The Ecclesia is God’s government and is the only government that will endure; all other forms of government will collapse. It is essential that God’s people recognise that they have an integral role in the Ecclesias fulfillment upon Earth.

The family God has ordained is the union between one man and one woman. A covenant made between them witnessed by God. Respectfully, a husband and wife may procreate and bear children or choose to adopt. Therefore the family is the basic social unit of any given society. How the family unit structures itself nation to nation will vary; however God has clearly described His image of the type of family He has instituted. In present-day western societies they term this type of family the ‘Nuclear Family.’
Genesis 2:24

God’s role for the family is simple yet profound. This is seen in the portrayal of the first family on Earth. Adam the first man is charged with the task to find a suitable helpmate. God provides a wife from Adam’s rib and she is named Eve. In the Garden, Adam and Eve is commanded to have dominion upon the terrain of the entire Earth. To multiply in numbers and to be fruitful. Thus the mandate for the family is so. In the New Covenant, the mandate remains the same; all citizens that belong to God’s family are charged to govern upon this earth in His theocracy and to cultivate Godly offspring that will continue in God’s governance.
Genesis 2:18, 20, Genesis 1:28, Ephesians 2: 19-22

Theocratic governance is the way in which God expects his nation to be governed. His nation comprises of theocratic communities and within these communities family units are the basic constituents. The Kingdom of God can be viewed through five essential components: Authority, Law, Government, Citizenship and Culture. In a family, the five components are typified in the role of each member of the family. The husband serves as the authority; the wife serves as the government and both enforce and ensure that the law of God is taught to their offspring. The aim is for the child to develop and mature into an accountable citizen and will be expected to demonstrate a distinct culture. Psalm 127:3

The family unit is no longer seen in society as the fixture of stability. The erosion of the family unit is standard in our present-day. The promotion of same-sex marriage, single-parent households and cohabiting without marriage are some of the main factors in the decline of the family unit. Our children are growing-up in a confused world; where the role distinctions are blurred between man and woman. God has designed His citizens to keep the institution of marriage sacred and maintain the covenant between husband and wife. Surely, now more than ever we can see that even the body of Christ has neglected to keep the covenant hallowed. Matthew 19:6

The trust in Government globally has plummeted. However, amongst believers there remains an over reliance on Government. The failure for many believers to realise that Christ as King came to establish His theocratic government upon earth has led families to rely solely on state benefits, food banks etcetera. If each believer recognises that their role upon this earth is to collaborate in the establishing of His Ecclesia. The dependency on government would decrease as a clear understanding of the role of earthly government is comprehended. The believer should no longer look to earthly government to provide all solutions for their problems. The Ecclesia is the only government that God sanctions His Will to be enforced through. Isaiah 9:6, 1 Timothy 2:1-3.

Democracy like many forms of government, will fail. The polarised views that are inherent and promoted in democracy will lead to its inevitable collapse. A government that is divided cannot continue to govern. All political ideologies that form the basis of all world governments cannot be separated from their internal contention; ultimately destined to crumble. All earthly governments are incompatible with a Kingdom citizen's constitution. God has only permitted His type of government to be compatible with our constitution and it is called Theocracy, a government whereby God and His law is sovereign. Matthew 12:25, Mark 3:25, Daniel 2.

Moreover in this day and age, families are isolated in their stand for what they believe is right. In a governing community, individuals and families will not be alone in their stand; the community corporately will remain firm and resolute against laws issued by our earthly governments that clearly violate the Laws of God.

The role of family is to preserve God’s law and pass it down to their children as a plentiful heritage. The family’s role in society is diminishing and appearing non-existent. God has charged his citizens with an important task of keeping the marriage covenant sacred. Until every believer recognises their citizenship and acknowledges that they have a role to play in God’s government. We will continue to be at the mercy of other forms of government being pulled from pillar to post by the polarising spectrum of unbiblical legislation.
