It has become nearly impossible to detect the true children of the Most High from false ones. But one thing is certain God knows and claims who is His and rejects those that are not.

Matthew 7:21-23 “Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven. 22 Many will say to Me in that day, ‘Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?’ 23 And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!’
Many are called but few are chosen or better yet many profess Christ but Christ professes only a few. The implication of the above passage conveys that the mere outward profession of faith does not determine anyone’s place in God’s Kingdom.
In this day and age, desperation draws people from all over the world seeking miracle doers and promises of blessings.
Monthly salaries are transferred, supposed holy oil is shipped worldwide and even handkerchiefs are prayed over to secure miracles and blessings. This tomfoolery is so much in fashion that so-called men and women of God justify these acts by preaching against anyone that dares to illustrate how this is unbiblical. The individuals that do this and lead the masses right into a ditch, God promises that in the last day He will reject them and their followers.
But it is not too late to awake from the slumber and realise that the external profession of faith does not seal anyone’s salvation. God makes it clear that His children who abide in the Father’s will would inherit the Kingdom of God. To know what His will is you have to read His word and desire to do it. Luke 13:24-30; Matthew 15:14
The problem is that many people no longer read His word but rely on digestible devotions and weekly Sunday sermons. People are confident to debate doctrine based on what their pastor says but do not peruse the scriptures like the Bereans. Acts 17:11
The leaders themselves no longer desire to do God’s will but seek their own pleasures and fancies. They preach that God’s blessing is like a bumper sticker and that God will bless you because you attend church weekly and pay your tithes, despite sin in the person going unaddressed. Matthew 6:33; Philippians 2:21
Lawlessness is contrary to righteousness and the Father only accepted those individuals into His Kingdom that did according to His will.
The portrayal of lawlessness are individuals who may look like a believer, talk like one, pray like one and demonstrate outward acts like one but inwardly Christ never took up His throne in their hearts. Even the greatest acts a person may showcase mean nothing without godliness. John 15:7; 2 Peter 1:6
If you desire a relationship with the King it is an indicator of a person’s authenticity. When sin occurs conviction will follow which leads to repentance and renewing of mind. This is an indication of a person’s sincerity and genuine relationship with the Father. As such proving that there is a difference between hypocrisy and a person who is wrestling with sin and desires to honour God and do His will. James 4:8; 2 Corinthians 7:10
The admonition made by Christ and the Apostle Paul that we should all remain alert and discerning to individuals that are really wolves in sheep’s clothing and those that will sneak in through the back door and lead many astray. Be careful not to follow individuals who seek to establish their own name and be fooled by their wondrous acts but look out for those that are trying to build His Kingdom and govern on Earth as He has commanded us to do. Matthew 7.15
