Currency in crisis

Our lives were at risk and now we are heading towards a global crash worse than the 2008 recession and many have already begun to bury their head in the sand.

It has been an emotional year throughout the globe, freedom restricted, families grieving, financial impact and daily lives and plans all put on hold for an unseen enemy, the virus.

Dr Caroline Leaf a world-renowned neuroscientist and born again believer states “Fear is real and can build negative learned associations in the brain, which can affect our future thoughts, words, and actions.”

This information is highly important as it reveals that we have a responsibility to manage our thoughts as they can affect the outcome of our lives.

Governments globally have begun to loosen the restrictions on the lockdown imposed on citizens during the pandemic out of fear of their economy collapsing; this is despite there still being a possibility of a second wave. A recent poll by the Observer revealed that the United Kingdom, a historical nation that went through two world wars and the recent revolutionary exit from the EU, did not wish to return to work.

The government realized that their emphasis on “Stay at home, Protect the NHS, Save Lives” has been all too successful. If we hear something enough, we begin to process it and can find it challenging to come out of this mindset; it becomes a stronghold rooted in fear, which brings me to the next part on how we untangle ourselves from fear.

“True deliverance is in the renewing of your mind.”

We can pray for deliverance or even say we have faith, but if we do not take steps to wash ourselves with the word daily, we will not fully transform. This is because true transformation begins in the renewing of the mind, it is here that we first become free.

You are created to believe in the impossible to make a way when there is no way just like your creator.

“I tell you, if you have faith like a grain of mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, 'Move from here to there,' and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.” Matthew 17:20

When we operate from this thought process, our minds are in alignment with the Kingdom, and the impossible becomes possible.

We must never forget that we do not operate from this world, and the currency of this world is money, but the currency of heaven is faith. Faith gives us access to the throne room in heaven, where we make our requests known to our Heavenly father. It does not discriminate on your social status and will open a door that was once closed.

During the 2008 recession, we saw the rise of Whatsapp, Groupon, Instagram, Uber and many more. These were all businesses that filled a need during a financial crisis and did not let fear stop them from creating.

You see, it is now when we are faced with uncertainty that we can exercise faith. As the bible says, faith without works is dead meaning your faith isn't faith if it is never tested or never leaves the prayer closet; instead, you need to put it to action.

Many of you might be trying to figure out your next step. Ask yourself, is there something God has placed on your heart? Or something so big that you need God and others to accomplish it? Or is there a problem that you have recognised that needs solving? If yes, then it's probably your job to get it done, but it must begin with faith.

We are called to be the salt of the earth and must not let the perpetuation of fear or circumstances hold us back.
